None of this would be possible without the continuing support of our sponsors, walkers and runners, however, to be even more effective in the fight against cancer we need more sponsors.
The 11th Annual Mary’s Walk and Kerrymen Pub Road Race experienced another successful campaign thanks to the commitment of our participants and business sponsors. This year we had a record number of walkers (1,869) and runners (902). More importantly, your efforts have allowed us to raise approximately $190,000 (donations are still being made and accepted) for Maine based cancer research. Please see our newletters for a summary of the exciting research funded through your generosity in 2008.
We also wish to recognize and thank our top ten individual fundraisers.
The #1 fundraiser, Louise Hurlbutt, raised an incredible $7,780. The team named in her honor, Team Hurlbutt, raised $11,865. The top fundraising team in the School/Community Group was MSAD 71 ($2,425) and the top Friends and Family Team was Beth’s Dream Team ($4,806).
