Here’s an opportunity to partner with one of Maine’s largest fundraising events! Long a highlight of early spring, the 2011 Mary’s Walk and Kerrymen Pub 5K will be held Sunday, March 13. This annual community gathering supports those living with cancer and cancer research. It continues the memory of those we have lost while raising funds to support research and find hope so that one day our future may be free of cancer.

Nearly 3000 people walk or run each year! Together with sponsorship, registration fees and participant fundraising, over $1,410,000 has been raised for Maine-based cancer research, education and patient support programs administered by the Maine Cancer Foundation. The Foundation is an independent grant-making charity with a mandate to keep 100% of funds raised in Maine. Corporate sponsorship has long been a key to the events’ success.

Now in its 13th year, the event includes a 2.5 mile walk and a sanctioned 5K run. Plentiful post race refreshments, awards and merriment round out the day’s festivities. A benefit of sponsorship is exposure to over 3000 registered participants, 200 volunteers and to 6000 MCF supporters through the Foundation’s annual report.
